Disney Pixar fans have only just noticed major Toy Story and Monsters Inc link

Fans of Toy Story and Monsters Inc have only just noticed a major link between the two films.

Despite being out there for quite some time now, fans of Disney and Pixar are just noticing a crossover easter egg in Monsters Inc that calls back to Toy Story. Both films deal with childhood in very different ways; while one looks at the innocence of childhood play through the eyes of toys, the other looks at childhood fear via monsters who come into the human world.

If you've seen Monsters Inc, you'll know that monsters invade the human world to scare kids in the night, which becomes electricity for the monster population to power their homes. But one kid is very familiar.

Monsters Inc has spawned a sequel, lots of TV spots and toys.

This easter egg was recently dug up by Instagram movie buff Ivan Mars who took to the platform to share the information which arises in one specific scene in the Disney Pixar classic.

At one point, a large blue monster runs back to the monster world upset, having failed to scare the child on the other side of the door. Before the door gets shredded, because the kid can't be scared any longer, we get a glimpse into the bedroom of the child and a familiar poster can be seen on the wall.

It turns out, this is the bedroom of Sid from Toy Story. You know, the one who tortured toys and became the antagonist of the film, preventing Buzz and Woody from catching up to Andy.

Some fans were quick to point out that it can't be Sid because the monsters discuss the child being female and only six years old. Don't forget though that Sid has a younger sister, Hannah. It's not out of the realm of possibility that she could've been in his bedroom.

Perhaps Hannah inherited her brother's attitude and doesn't fear anything. Check it out on Disney Plus and see what you think.
