This Cyberpunk 2077 live-action series casting is absolutely perfect

We think you'll agree this is a great casting choice

Ever since we got confirmation that a Cyberpunk 2077 live-action series is being made, we’ve been compiling our ideal casting choices for each character. However, we’d argue that none of your choices are quite as perfect as one fan shared online.

We say “series”, but the truth is that nobody, other than the creators behind it, is certain whether the live-action Cyberpunk 2077 will be a series or film. Still, while we don’t have all the answers, we do know that we could be able to watch the adaptation in 2025.

Surely you've seen what Phantom Liberty has in store for you, right?

Although that sounds like a lifetime away, we’re nearing the end of 2023, with the new year only weeks away. By the time the live-action show is ready, it’ll probably feel like no time has passed at all.

If waiting for further news sounds like an utter bind, at least we’ve got the chance to speculate over which actor will play what role, with an eager fan suggesting one of the most perfectly matched casting suggestions we’ve seen in a long time.

On Reddit, WILDWOST said that Julie Dray, the voice behind the French version of the beloved character V, should continue that role in the live-action. Appearance-wise, Dray fits the bill, with a side-by-side comparison of V and Dray showing how similar they are. And, with the actor having already voiced the character, they know the personality of V well. That being said, looks aren’t all it takes to embody a role.

We’ve seen this recently in the way The Last of Us season two casting of Dina divided fans, with some valuing looks over Jewish heritage. Obviously, the Cyberpunk 2077 live-action casting choices bring fewer potential ramifications, but it’s a tricky process all the same.

What happens next is in the hands of CD Projekt Red and Anonymous Content, but we strongly feel that the right actor for femme V has already been found.
