It was always going to be a risk trying to create an entirely new story in a world like the one laid out in Fallout, but it's pretty safe to say now that the first season of Amazon's Prime Video show did an immensely impressive job.
The new storylines made total sense within the wider lore, which they absolutely had to do given the show's position as canon within the universe, and it left us wanting to see what comes next for Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell) and everyone else.
One of the show's greatest strengths is the cast of characters it has introduced, from the aforementioned Lucy and her father Hank (Kyle MacLachlan) to Walton Goggins' turn as the ever frightening but surprisingly emotional deep combo of Cooper Howard and The Ghoul.
The latter has been so well appreciated that Bethesda Entertainment acted very quickly to further embroil the character in their universe, with Walton Goggins stepping in to voice the role for The Ghoul's appearance in Fallout 76.

That update has actually just gone live on the MMOs servers, so you can log-in right now to have a chat with the character and see what quests you might be able to get done to improve your relationship.
As such, thoughts turn to the potential of other characters from the show who could appear in other Fallout properties and it's safe to say that it's a distinct possibility.
Todd Howard 'Very Pleased' With The Ghoul in Fallout 76
Prime Video put on a special screening of the first two episodes of Season 2 of Fallout in London on 2 December, where Bethesda head honcho Todd Howard was in attendance.

In an exclusive chat with GAMINGbible, Howard refused to rule out the potential of other characters from the show appearing in other Fallout games.

"We'll see. Where there's an opportunity, we'll see," he told us.
"The best thing about The Ghoul is that he is a character that has lived through those timelines. Walton's done an incredible job in 76, and it was a real treat for us to work with him again but in that way and to let players interact with him.

"We're really pleased with how that turned out."
That leaves the door open to a ton of exciting futures for fans of the franchise, with the potential for some of the show's best to pop up just about anywhere.
Whether that's likely to be more characters showing up in Fallout 76 or an additional turn in the highly anticipated, but likely very far away, Fallout 5, remains to be seen,
I've got my fingers crossed for both.
