The Witcher 3 has an awesome hidden loot room that you definitely missed

You're going to want to check this out on your next The Witcher 3 playthrough

We’re all desperately awaiting news on CD Projekt RED’s upcoming The Witcher 4, but it’s not looking as if an update is set to land anytime soon.

I should say that The Witcher 4 is a colloquial title. Technically, CDPR hasn’t yet announced a name, instead simply confirming that they’re working on the next instalment in The Witcher series.

In fact, the studio has been quite adamant that fans shouldn’t call it The Witcher 4 as the game will kickstart a brand new trilogy.

This should follow on from Geralt’s saga so presumably, The Witcher 4 will star a new protagonist. Whether that’s a side character like Ciri or someone brand new, we don’t yet know.

The good news is that production has recently ramped up on the game with CDPR co-CEO Adam Badowski revealing that the project should have 400 developers by mid 2024.

In the meantime though, you may find yourself drifting back to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and with good reason. It’s a fantastic game.

Take a look at The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in action below.

Even if you’ve played the game before, if you’re anything like me, I imagine each new playthrough reveals a small hidden piece of lore, secret locale, or open world event that you’ve not yet stumbled across.

It’s the beauty of revisiting such games. Well, The Witcher 3’s community has come together to highlight some of the game’s best secrets, including one that I immediately need to go and check out.

Reddit user Rolf_Dom said, “There's an area I believe to the south of the mines with standing stones and there's weird weather around. There's a cave I think where you can dispel an illusion and cast signs on some stones to stabilise the weather and you'll get a bunch of herbs.”

Very curious indeed, and something I’m guessing plenty of you are yet to find or experience. Go grab those free herbs.

If you have experienced this strange in-game phenomenon, then let me throw Arrav_VII’s suggestion to you: “You can find a grave not too far from Kaer Morhen. I'm not spoiling whose grave it is, but if you played the first game you will know.”

Back to The Witcher 3 I go.
