The Witcher 3 players stunned by hidden quest we all missed for years

Did you miss this one?

We all know The Witcher 3 is a huge game. Vast. Just epic in scale. There are so many quests and things to see, it’s understandable if you missed something during your playthrough.

It seems that, despite playing for a very long time and unlocking all trophies for the game, one player still managed to miss a great quest.

Horizon Zero Dawn is getting the remaster treatment from Sony ready for the PS5 Pro

This player, calum769, popped up on Reddit to express their shock that they had never spotted a particular quest and others were equally stunned that they didn’t know about it.

The quest we’re focusing on is called ‘Greenhouse Effect’ and has Geralt looking around for exotic herbs that only appear after a certain weather effect - which might be why people miss the quest.

The questline starts after observing an unnatural weather effect in the southeast corner of the Kaer Morhen valley.

The original post to the Witcher 3 Reddit emphasises how easy it is to miss this one, “I can’t believe, so many years after completing the game and all it’s DLC’s and earning every trophy in the process, I’m stumbling across content on the new-gen version I think I’ve not seen before.”

A reply from Osirus9 explains, “That's been in the game a long time but you're right it's very easy to miss that one.”

While another user expresses, “There's a reason this game is one of the best of all time, officially.”

It’s always hard to fully 100% a game because it really depends on your definition of what that entails. Even getting all trophies or achievements doesn’t mean you’ve really seen everything.

Calum769 continues “I just happened to check a “best quest order” list and this quest name popped up, googled it and noticed it wasn’t in my completed section.”

If you want to see literally everything in one of your favourite games, go and check the quest lists and see if you missed something along the way.
