Later this year will see CD Projekt RED mark the 10th anniversary of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and it seems as though the studio will be celebrating in style according to a recent rumour.
Despite CD Projekt RED being hard at work on development for The Witcher 4, it has not left The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt behind as just recently it announced that cross-platform mod support will be added to the game later on this year.
Not only that but according to a recent podcast by Rock and Boris, CDPR is currently planning a third DLC for The Witcher 3 and it is set to be released in 2026.

So far, the game has two DLCs known as Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone but if true, this will be the first DLC since 2016.
Technically, CDPR will not be behind this third DLC as it is actually being worked on by Fool’s Theory, a company founded by former members of The Witcher 3 development team.
“Let’s move on to our main topic,” the podcast details.
“From the information we have collected, it turns out that the announced, mysterious project by CD Projekt Red, made by Fool’s Theory, is a story DLC for The Witcher 3. This is confirmed information from several independent sources.

“Based on one piece of information, I can’t confirm it any further, but the earliest it could be is in the future year.
We also more or less know the order of the releases: first, mods for consoles, then the DLC for The Witcher 3, then The Witcher 4, and finally, the remake of The Witcher 1.”
This is quite the impressive docket and although we don’t yet know who or what this upcoming DLC will focus on, one fan over on r/PS5 has a pretty good theory.
“Could very well be a prologue to Witcher 4 if true.

A Ciri DLC about how she ends up going to Kovir for the next entry,” user Vidya-Man suggests.
This would definitely bridge the gap when it comes to Ciri’s journey from the events of The Witcher 3 to The Witcher 4.
The third DLC has not yet been officially confirmed but if true, we have just a year until we get our hands on it.
