The Elder Scrolls 6 may still be a few years away, but a new trailer for the Morrowind fan remake has fans hyped.
Some of us are still playing Oblivion and Skyrim, especially following the former’s remaster from last month, but fans of The Elder Scrolls are still patiently waiting for the sixth instalment.
While it was announced in 2018, The Elder Scrolls 6 is still likely years away. Considering it only began full production in 2023, we’re still probably a while away from even getting the first trailer.

But we do have another upcoming Elder Scrolls project to look forward to in the meantime.
The upcoming Skywind mod, which aims to bring the entirety of Morrowind into Skyrim, has just received a 20-minute trailer.
The mod aims to recreate Morrowind in the Skyrim engine, complete with a reimagined score and full voice-acting, the latter of which the original Morrowind didn’t have.
“Looks incredible, but will probably not be out for another 2-3 years,” wrote one fan on Reddit.

“One day Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim will each have mods that fully recreate the other two games in their engine,” wrote another. The cycle will continue.
“My playtime is gonna be insane for Skyrim by the time I catch up to it,” wrote a third comment.
“Skyrim (Vanilla), Skyrim (Modded), Skygerfall, Skywind, and Skyblivion plus that Dagoth Ur companion mod whenever that releases. This is not even mentioning all the Beyond Skyrim projects.”
It’ll be weird in another few years being able to play the content of nearly every Elder Scrolls game on one modded Skyrim save, but it should mean you get your money’s worth.

Skywind is still likely a few years away from a full release, similar to The Elder Scrolls 6.
Just like how we got the official Oblivion remake in the same year as Skyblivion, a mod that puts Oblivion into Skyrim, we may see Skywind released in the same year as the next Elder Scrolls game.
