The Elder Scrolls 6 setting seemingly discovered in Skyrim

Could The Elder Scrolls 6 and Skyrim share a setting?

Although it is set to be quite a long wait for the next entry in The Elder Scrolls series, one eagle-eyed fan has already spotted what looks to be quite an important clue.

Since the success of Prime Video’s Fallout show, game developers Bethesda has found itself back in the limelight after some time away. As the brains behind both the Fallout and The Elder Scrolls franchises, it is no secret that it has a legion of dedicated fans who are desperate for more.

Not sure which Fallout title to start with? We have you covered!

However, with Fallout 5 reportedly set to arrive many many years from now, it is down to The Elder Scrolls 6 to fill the Bethesda void but with no release date on the horizon, it is not looking good.

Until then, it is down to eagle-eyed fans to scour what little information we have about the upcoming entry and one such fan over on r/TESVI has done just that.

Posted just 5 days ago, the user wrote: “TES:VI vs. Taneth Hammerfell [Skyrim out of bounds]” alongside a comparison image showing an The Elder Scrolls 6 landscape vs a Skyrim landscape.

As you can see, the landscapes look pretty similar which has led some fans to speculate whether the two games could share a common setting.

One comment read: “It could be possible. If they just so happen to look SO similar then it's a massive coincidence.”

Another commenter said: “It’s obviously going to be Hammerfell, it’s one of the first things said in Skyrim lol”. I’m not sure about you but I’m not sure if this is confirmed in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. However, if it is, it would make sense that Bethesda was following up on its promise.

It remains to be seen what exactly The Elder Scrolls 6 will feature but if it is anything like its Skyrim predecessor, we are in for another epic adventure.
