The Elder Scrolls 6 fans losing their heads over long-awaited second trailer

It will be any day now, right? Right!?

First announced back in 2018, it has almost been seven years since The Elder Scrolls VI was revealed but with no news since, fans are starting to lose their heads.

Not only has it been almost 15-years since the latest The Elder Scrolls entry, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, was first released, but it is rapidly approaching a decade since its sequel, The Elder Scrolls VI was first announced during 2018’s E3 event.

With all that in mind, it is no wonder that fans are feeling frustrated with Bethesda’s lack of updates and more specifically, a lack of official trailers.

At the time of writing, The Elder Scrolls VI has only received one teaser trailer which consisted of just a few seconds of footage of a landscape and the game’s title.

That was released back in 2018 and since then, Bethesda has not shown fans any more footage of the highly-anticipated RPG.

“When the hell are we getting a second trailer?” one such fan asked over on r/TESVI.

“It’s been SEVEN years since they teased us with the first trailer. No gameplay, no updates. Not even a release YEAR. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO SURVIVE ON THAT 36 SECOND VIDEO? It’s been a decade and a half since Skyrim. Bethesda… please.”

If we assume that the game has been in development for at least seven years, it remains a mystery as to why we have barely received any updates and it seems as though fans agree.

“Hate to be a downer about it, but probably not anytime soon,” one user commented.

“I would love to be wrong about that. I definitely wouldn't expect to see gameplay anytime soon. If it's coming out in 2027 then I'd expect something next year. If it's coming out in 2028, maybe late next year and then a good bit in 2027. If it's after 2028? Well, probably not until then.”

However, another user is feeling more optimistic in Bethesda’s abilities.

“They didn’t devote their full resources to TESVI until Starfield was completed, the game is still quite a ways out and they likely don’t have much to show for a trailer yet,” they explained.

“Bethesda is still relatively small for a AAA dev even after Microsoft picked them up. I’ve waited this long, I’d rather they take their time and release the game when it’s ready. Rockstar puts out one game a decade and doesn’t announce shit until it’s near complete and everyone seems fine with letting them take their time.”

It remains to be seen when we will finally receive the first official trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI but let us hope that it is soon.
