Despite The Boys season four only just airing, fans are already eager to see its fifth and final season. However, there may be a slight wait.
June and July saw season four of the hit Prime Video show The Boys air its penultimate season.
Despite being hit with mixed reviews, with some criticizing its focus on shock value over its narrative, it still went on to be viewed by millions of viewers across the world.

That is why fans are now turning their attention to its fifth season which has been reported to be its final season.
According to a post over on r/TheBoys, season five is currently being written and will consist of eight episodes.
Not only that but filming is expected to start in November and will last until around mid-2025 with The Boys season five expected to air some time in 2026.
That means we could be waiting over two years for its next and final season. As you can expect, fans are less than happy.
“Please no delays. The wait for this ideal release plan is already agonizing to think about,” one comment reads.
Another said: “We used to get 20 episode seasons every year. Why do we consume media with such mediocre releases? Even The Walking Dead had like 15 episodes a season.”
However, other fans are happy to wait and would prefer the finale to be as good as it can be, regardless of any delays.
“I actually think if they need to delay it, they should,” they wrote.
“Season 5 should be as good as possible, and if that means they have to delay it in order to make it as good as they can I'm all for it.”
We may not see the next season of The Boys anytime soon but we can expect it to be as wild as ever before and I’m sure it will end with a bang.
