Earlier this week The Bible came to Steam. Yes, that Bible.
You have to admire the brazen confidence of the developers for deciding to release their digital version of the Good Book in the middle of the busiest release period we've seen in gaming in years. Perhaps they're hoping people will finish Sonic Frontiers and decide it's time to find God.
“The Bible is a digital recreation of the original work, in the form of a kinetic novel. Each book and story can be read in any order, and any passage can be saved and revisited later for study. This digital recreation includes an original soundtrack; and a wonderful audiobook presentation from beginning to end,” the official description on Steam reads.

“A Trivia section has been added to test the knowledge of any who think they truly know the Scriptures. If you find yourself getting more wrong than you'd expect dive further into the text and find the answers for yourself!”
Unfortunately, it would seem The Bible hasn't landed with as much of a splash as developer Bible Games might have hoped for. Since releasing on Steam two days ago, the game has had enjoyed a peak of just 54 players. According to SteamDB, The Bible currently has 44 players who are no doubt enjoying learning all about what Jesus and his mates got up to.
Of course it wouldn't be entirely fair to have expected The Bible to launch on Steam and go toe-to-toe with the likes of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and CS:GO. And it's worth noting that the game actually already has a Very Positive rating, with some rave reviews.
"Love to see a new visual novel inspired on the critically acclaimed anime Neon Genesis Evangelion," reads on review.

Another proclaims: "My mother walked in on me as I was playing the hit game The Bible on Steam and I instinctively alt-tabbed to hardcore porn. I think I am doing this wrong."
"What took it 4000 years to release on Steam?" a third asked.
Lastly, and this is possibly my favourite because it made me spit out my tea: "I'm seeking forgiveness for all the Hentai games I've been playing all these years."
