Whilst there have definitely been some really bad things about the games industry over the last decade, one of the better trends has seen the major console players work more closely to integrate cross platform games, and to release previously exclusive titles elsewhere.
The "console wars" weren't a particularly good look for a sector that really needs everyone to work together to make a success of it and the lessening of that dialogue has undoubtedly been a good thing overall.
Xbox have probably been the most proactive in this regard, with games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Forza Horizon 5, Doom: The Dark Ages and The Outer Worlds 2 all making the trip over to the PS5 at some point in the near-future.
Though Nintendo and Sony have been a little more resistant to change, they have also made several great strides in recent years. Unfortunately, new rumours suggest that may not be the case for much longer.

Sony to pull back from PC ports?
As first reported by PushSquare, new information from Windows Central Journalist Jez Corden claims that Sony may be scaling back their efforts to bring PS5 games to the PC.
The big caveat to that is that Corden followed up with a tweet saying that the rumours at this stage were only very vague, and not to be taken as gospel at this point" "Just want to add that these were very vague rumors and just podcast discussions and speculations, not a serious report or leak!

"It is my personal opinion that it would be good for Sony to do day and date speaking purely mathematically, but a few people saw me say that and told me what they had heard otherwise.
"I don't do PlayStation reporting and shouldn't be used as a source of info for it beyond basic opinions/speculation unless its up on winc [Windows Central]. Xbox/Microsoft is my beat."
This comes after some exceptionally skilled dataminers uncovered a new feature in the operating system of the PS5 labelled as "Cross-Buy", which many speculate may be a dedicated launcher or store for PlayStation games on the PC.
If this does turn out to be true and Sony withdraws any or all of their plans to release PlayStation games on the PC, it has to be taken as a net loss for players, particularly those who only have access to a gaming PC.
