A new free demo has just dropped on Steam and, to be honest, it might be my next big obsession.
With Steam Next Fest coming next week, developers and publishers are getting in early and releasing free demos for their new and upcoming games.
Playing demos can be a fantastic way to try out a new game and decide whether you like it or not, so when a new free drop comes out of nowhere it’s usually worth a play when you get a spare 20 minutes.

Little Rocket Lab developed by Teenage Astronauts is a construction and management game where you’re tasked with completing your family’s dream construction project – a rocket ship.
The phrase “it’s not rocket science” doesn’t apply here, as you need to build clever contraptions and sprawling factories to complete this project.
This includes assembling all sorts of machines like conveyor belts, cranes, and dispensers to keep the production going.
For fans of automation games like Automachef and Factorio, it feels like a no brainer.

On the flip side, there’s also a life sim element to this game. You meet locals, befriend them, and in turn their relationship to you will give rewards to help keep the cogs in the machine turning.
The Little Rocket Lab demo is now available to play on Steam, and it comes with the first few hours of the game ready for you to play.
It should be enough time to get a lay of the land, explore the town, meet characters, and get a head start on building your rocket factory. By the time the full game rolls around, you’ll already be a natural.
Little Rocket Lab doesn’t have a set release date yet.

The date on the Steam store page simply says the game is “coming soon”, so we’ll wait confirmation from Teenage Astronauts about any release date news.
