Cosy games really have been taking the gaming world by storm for a while now, as players seek to unwind after a long day at work by tending to their farm or look after their own little corner of paradise in a town inhabited by animals.
Whether you're an Animal Crossing fan or a Stardew Valley enjoyer, there's a little something out there for everyone these days, and that list is growing all the time thanks to dedicated indie developers.
If you're in the market for a new cosy game, then Steam is the best place to go, with hundreds of options available at pretty reasonable rates.
Many also come with free demos that allow you to try before you by, and that includes a brand new game on the Steam store that's really just about as adorable as it's possible to get.

Light Up The Town is A Christmas Cracker
As we're approaching the holiday season, a lot of the new games entering the Steam storefront in December are themed around the winter festivities, including indie cosy game Light Up The Town.
The game puts players into the tiny little paws of Bean, a precocious young ferret who wants to spread cheer by putting up as many decorations around the town as possible.
In the developer's own words, "Bellflower's annual Winter Festival is coming up, but the town is still dark!
"Local electrician Chuck is out of commission, so it's up to his precocious daughter to put up lights and decorations around town before the festival.
"And with a blizzard on the way, the holidays hang in the balance. What does it take to make your community a better place?"
Light Up The Town features over 15 handcrafted levels where you'll essentially be clicking to throw up decorations to make the town look as nice as possible ahead of the big day.
You'll have full control over the aesthetics as well, with transformation tools for your decorations, including size and rotation.
There are also upgradeable elements that you can improve by collecting coins throughout the game, to make your life easier when decorating.
The game has just come out, but if you aren't sure whether you want to spring for the full purchase, a demo is available that should give you a decent idea of what to expect.
Light Up The Town is also on sale right now, so move quickly to get a better deal than you otherwise would.
