By now, the hardcore Stardew Valley fans may know every tip and trick when it comes to the most popular farming simulator out there.

After all, Stardew Valley has stayed at the top of the genre since it was first released back in 2016 and thanks to an already-incredible base game and multiple free updates, its popularity is far from diminishing.

Check out the trailer for Stardew Valley below!

However, that does not mean that there are some features in the game that may have gone unnoticed by some players, especially those who are trying out the game for the first time.

That is why a thread over on r/StardewValley dedicated to “the best or least known Stardew Valley tip, trick, or TIL” is helping out the players in need.

The original poster, kimberquests, was interested to find out if there was anything they had not yet learned about the game and it wasn’t long before over 400 comments came flooding in.

However, it was the top comment that caught our attention.

“My favorite unusual tip is that if you place floor or path tiles under your machines, you can use the charged hoe to empty finished products from the machines without removing them.

Works best with casks if you fully fill the cellar.”

Not only that but the comment by Ketzaren also came with a video demonstration.

Those who play Stardew will realise how much of a timesaver this is and Ketzaren was happy to go into more detail about the helpful little trick.

“It's a little counterintuitive to explain but I don't put floor tiles under all of them,” they explained.

“The ones without tiles under them will be taken up with the hoe while dropping the product.

This allows you to create a path to walk through to refill all the casks and then you can backfill along the path to fully fill the cellar again.

The ones with a floor tile under them are placed permanently until you use the pickaxe on them.”

It may be a tip you are already aware of, but if not, it will definitely help you in the future.
