Star Wars: The Acolyte has officially returned to answer some old mysteries

We're going back to the galaxy far, far away

The cancellation of Star Wars: The Acolyte was a frustrating and sad moment for fans who wanted more from the galaxy’s history.

The first season sowed a lot of seeds that are never to be harvested, nor flourish into epic moments for the Star Wars franchise.

While some celebrated the ending for ‘reasons’ others were left reeling that we’d never know more about this diverse cast of characters and the implications of the early days of the Sith.

Thankfully, a book is here to pick up these threads and deliver some kind of closure.

The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which launches today, explores many aspects of the show, from production to set design, but also plot lines that were left on cliffhangers.

One of the biggest reveals fans are anticipating from the book is the existence of Darth Plagueis on the island where Qimir was hiding out.

Plagueis has been a notorious Sith in the history of the series, and his appearance had fans excited for learning more about his reign, and his ties to Qimir.

The book does reveal minor details about this, however, more would have been unveiled in the show, were it not for the abrupt cancellation.

The book also delves into the early days of the Jedi order, detailing more of the character’s backstories.

Plenty of fans are thrilled to know they can learn more and took to Twitter to celebrate the release.

There are many comments along the lines of “Need to pick this up!” or other users saying, “The details inside have already been so great. Love that for us.”

Hopefully, enough people will pick up this book or show more interest in the cancelled show, if only for Disney to see that there is demand for certain aspects of the story.

There’s enough demand for more Plagueis details, so perhaps we’ll get another spin-off.
