The final episode of The Acolyte aired this week and with fans eager to see if it will get renewed for a second season, there is one mystery that is still yet to be explained.

There is no denying that the latest spin-off in the Star Wars franchise, The Acolyte has taken the world by storm these past few months.

Check out our interview with the cast of The Acolyte below!

Spoilers for The Acolyte below!

Taking place 100 years before the rise of the Galactic Empire, the story shows us the events leading up to the events of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace and subsequently the sequel trilogy.

With the show introducing sith The Stranger, it has got fans wondering how his existence was kept a secret and some eagle-eyed (or eared) fans have noticed a link between him and Kylo Ren himself.

“Why is Qimir’s song the same as Kylo Ren’s?” One post read over on r/StarWars.

“My husband noticed Qimir’s song is the same as Kylo Ren’s, but why? Are the Knights of Ren around at this point? Is he an early Knight of Ren? Is it just standard “evil” music?”

The original poster is alluding to multiple instances where Kylo’s score is played over scenes featuring Qimir/The Stranger.

It is heard in episode five when he covers Osha with a blanket in the end scenes as well as the duel between himself and Torbin, Sol and Kelnacca in a later episode.

Although some fans believed this could have just been a coincidence, show writer Leslye Headland has confirmed it was intentional but refused to go into further detail.

However, many fans believe that this could mean Qimir (whose real name is unknown) and Osha will go on to found the Knights of Ren, a mysterious order of elite warriors who followed the dark side of the Force in the age when Sith were extinct.

Additionally, it could also represent The Stranger being failed by his master, much like Ben Solo.

Either way, let us hope we receive a second season of The Acolyte so we can get all the answers we desperately need.
