I don’t know about you but cancelling The Acolyte after just one season felt like a personal attack and it seems as though I am not the only one to think that.
With a dedicated fanbase behind it, it was heartbreaking news after the Star Wars television show The Acolyte was scrapped after just one season this time last year.
Set at the end of the High Republic era and before the events of the Skywalker Saga, The Acolyte follows a respected Jedi Master who must investigate a series of crimes that soon see him team up with a former Padawan.
Spanning just eight episodes, viewers hardly got to enjoy the show before it was unceremoniously cancelled after just one season but its dedicated fanbase is not giving up in the hopes that one day The Acolyte will get renewed.

That is why one user has taken to r/TheAcolyte to share a way in which fans can team together to show how much interest there is in a second season of the Star Wars show.
“A chance for more The Acolyte stories”, they shared.
“One of the best ways we can show there is still interest in (and money to be made from!)
Continuing the stories around The Acolyte, and the High Republic era, is to pre-order as much of the tie-in and High Republic material as possible.

Pre-orders (or purchases in the first week after release) really help boost publications by counting towards the all important NY Times Bestsellers List!”
Although The Acolyte television show may have been cancelled, books set in the same universe are still being published and that is the case for Star Wars: The Acolyte - The Crystal Crown which is a brand-new release following the adventures of Jecki and Yord.
The user believes that if enough books are sold, it may inspire Disney to pick the show back up in the future and it seems as though fellow fans agree.
“For anyone who is thinking: "A prequel novel is nice...but THAT'S NOT SEASON TWO!!" I completely agree,” the original poster shared.

“But I think the more we show interest in the publishing, the more chance there is that there will be a continuation of the main Acolyte story in some form, perhaps even in another live-action show set in the Late High Republic, or even someday a Season 2 of The Acolyte.”
“Absolutely and good call,” a fellow fan commented.
It is worth a shot so if you miss The Acolyte and want a way to experience the universe, albeit in a different form, make sure you check out this brand-new book release.
