One Of Ubisoft's All-Time Greatest Games Is Free To Download, Right Now

You don't want to miss this one

One of Ubisoft's greatest-ever video games is currently completely free to download and keep. Even better? For once it's not an Assassin's Creed or Far Cry game.

Way, way back in the day, back when Ubisoft spent its time on more than the same three or four franchises, there was a series called Splinter Cell. In 2005 we got Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, and it absolutely slapped. It remains one of the slickest stealth-action games ever made, and is so, so worth your time. I usually don't care at all whether or not you check out the free games we report on because, why would I? But this time? I implore you: play Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

If you're interested in checking it out, you've got until November 25 to claim and download it via Ubisoft Connect PC. That does mean it's PC only and console users will have to go without, but I'm fairly confident that most machines will be able to run a 2005 game without much trouble - so dig out your crappy laptop and give it a whirl.

If nothing else, claim it now so you have it in the bank just in case you ever do pick up a gaming PC or laptop. Ubisoft has confirmed that once you download this one, it's yours forever, after all. All you need to do is head to the Ubisoft Store via this link, create an account (if you don't already have one) and make good on the promotion.

So what are you waiting for? We're done here. Go away and get your free game.
