Zelda: Ocarina Of Time gets stunning Unreal Engine remake you can download now

Dodongo breakin' my heart

The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is widely regarded as one of the very finest video games of all time, and it's not hard to see why.

Easily one of Nintendo's best efforts, Ocarina Of Time is a definitive Zelda adventure. Epic, heartfelt, and brimming with imagination, no wonder it left such a mark on generations of gamers.

While we did eventually get a fantastic remake of Ocarina Of Time on 3DS, fans would agree a shinier remake on Nintendo Switch with a greater focus on polished up graphics is the dream.

This is pretty unlikely to happen now, obviously, what with the Switch nearing the end of its life, but there's a stunning new Unreal Engine 5 remake of Link's debut Nintendo 64 adventure that you can download and check out now.

If you're a Zelda fan you're probably already familiar with developer and YouTuber CryZENx. Over the last few years they've recreated huge chunks of Ocarina Of Time in stunning detail, and their latest effort is available to download now.

This newest release allows players to explore Dodongo's Cavern, the fiery second dungeon located deep inside Death Mountain.

Much of the original game's style and tone have been preserved in this remake, with noticeably improved textures and gorgeous new lighting effects.

As someone who's been following CryZENx's Zelda work over the last few years, it's remarkable to see how much better they continue to get, with newer releases striking more of a balance between Unreal Engine realism and Ocarina Of Time's distinct and colourful fantasy world.

All we can do is dream about getting something on this on the Nintendo Switch or its upcoming successor, but if CryZENx's is providing us with teasers like this, that might just be enough to keep me going a while longer.
