Assassin's Creed Mirage free DLC available to download now

For those who are yet to try out the latest entry in the much-loved Assassin’s Creed franchise, Ubisoft are offering the chance to try it out for free for a limited time.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage was released back in October and marked the 13th major instalment in the long-running Ubisoft series. Taking place in ninth century Baghdad, players follow assassin Basim in his fight against the Templars.

According to his review, our very own Sam Cawley praised Assassin’s Creed Mirage for its return to form, claiming it was “a leap of faith that sticks the landing”.

“Ultimately, I think Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a glorious return to form for the series, and I had a joyous time playing through it,” he continued.

“It’s great to see the series shift its focus back to stealth and a compelling narrative about the Order of Assassins, and I sincerely hope Ubisoft treat Mirage as the new baseline going forward, whilst still evolving the series further.”

Now six months on, Ubisoft are giving those players who missed out the chance to get a taster of Mirage courtesy of a limited free trial.

Those who sign up to the free trial via Ubisoft Connect will have access to two hours of Assassin’s Creed Mirage gameplay on any platform between 16 April and 30 April. Additionally, any progress will be saved and transferred to the full game should they choose to buy it.

Not only that but there will also be a free Eivor outfit DLC available for those who take part in the trial. If you didn’t already know, Eivor was the main character in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and it is not uncommon for Ubisoft to carry iconic assassin’s garbs throughout the entries.
