This Massive Cut Skyrim Quest Is The Perfect Fix Before Elder Scrolls 6

You can finally play it for free

A new Skyrim mod re-adds a cut quest into the game, which should fill your time while waiting for The Elder Scrolls VI.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of the biggest games we’ve ever played, with hundreds of hours of content available at your fingertips, plus plenty of reasons to revisit with new characters.

But even with all of that content, Bethesda Game Studios still had to make some cuts in order to fit the game’s scope and scale.

The Cursed Tribe is one such quest that received some cuts, as explained in this video by YouTuber Unknown G. The quest is found in Largashbur, an orc stronghold near Riften.

Some of these cuts include a different way to start the quest, plus certain dialogue between Atub and Yamarz which suggested a slightly altered version of the quest.

The Cursed Tribe Gets Expanded Thanks To New Mod

This new mod by Skyrim creator AndrealletiusVIII seeks to restore the cut content from The Cursed Tribe, as well as expanding on specific elements which they felt were unfinished.

The mod expands the quest by restoring a lot of context regarding the Yamarz' curse, as well as additional information regarding a character known as Shagrol, who was the chief of the tribe prior to the events of the game.

A lot of context surrounding who Shagrol is was cut from Skyrim, hence why you may have initially been confused when finding Shagrol’s Warhammer during the quest. The mod does its best to restore voice lines and context which will tell you more about the character.

While cut content can often mean losing things that didn’t ultimately fit with the final vision of the game, a lot of the stuff added with this mod doesn’t necessarily clash with Skyrim’s lore.

AndrealletiusVIII also shares some expanded elements that were not the result of cut content, but rather aspects of the quest that they felt were worth improving.

This includes not being able to start the quest automatically at Level 10, instead you need to be a Bloodkin or an Orc, and talk to the chiefs of any of the other holds.

Some orcs have been given unique names and appearances which they didn’t previously have, and Shagrol’s Warhammer also has its own features now.

Many more changes have been made to the quest, improving it so that it feels a lot more fleshed out. It certainly should be a lot more memorable now.
