Monolith Soft, a studio known for its support work on The Legend of Zelda franchise, may have had its next game leaked online.
You may be surprised to learn that Monolith Soft has extensively supported efforts on The Legend of Zelda over the years, including assisting on Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and Skyward Sword.
It’s far from all the studio is known for though.
It’s also assisted with development on Pikmin 3, Splatoon 3, and Mario Kart World in addition to creating its very own RPG behemoth.

Yes, Monolith Soft is the team behind the acclaimed Xenoblade franchise which last graced us with a mainline entry in 2022 with the arrival of Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition landed last year, reuniting us with that beloved title, but it didn’t exactly make up for the fact that fans are craving a new instalment.
You’re in luck, my friends.
Another Xenoblade Chronicles Instalment Has Surfaced Online
If you were concerned that Monolith Soft was too busy with its support work to return to Xenoblade, you thought wrong.
A fresh leak appears to suggest that a new Xenoblade Chronicles entry is not only in development, but is also scheduled to launch this year.
As spotted by Famiboards user joveroy, actor Caitlin Thorburn appears to have leaked the game via the website Spotlight.
If you want to see more from GAMINGbible, make us a preferred source on Google.
On Thorburn’s resume, Xenoblade Chronicles is mentioned with a date of 2026 where the actor is listed as playing Kos Mos.
Kos Mos isn’t exactly a new character having appeared in several Monolith Soft game releases including, crucially here, Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Weirdly, she’s far more present in the Xenosaga franchise which slightly differs from Xenoblade even if they are somewhat sibling series.
Could Kos Mos return in a potential Xenoblade Chronicles 4? I’ll admit, I don’t know enough about the lore to say, but the character wasn’t in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 as far as I’m aware.

I can’t see Xenosaga making a return though given that it predates Xenoblade Chronicles which has proven to perhaps be the more popular entity.
Much like myself, fans don’t know what to think.
Reddit user SemiLazyGamer made the suggestion that perhaps Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is being given a definitive edition which feels fairly plausible.
“It seems weird to me that she would voice new KOS-MOS lines for a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Edition. I wonder if it's some kind of spin-off like a Xenoblade fighting game,” countered Kmoosetoe.
Well, there is a Nintendo Direct on the way tomorrow but it is a partner showcase, so we shouldn’t expect to hear any first-party announcements.
This Xenoblade mystery will likely remain a mystery for a good while yet.
