When The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim dropped all the way back in 2011, few can have predicted just how long it would maintain its relevance as a game across several major console releases.
Now, a big part of that is Bethesda Entertainment's continued efforts to release new versions, with the Special Edition, Legendary Edition and even the Anniversary Edition available to buy, depending on what platform you favour.
The other major contributing factor is the game's immense modding community, who continue to release additional content every day, including new player homes, weapons, armour, locations and even full questlines.
With the latter in mind, there's a brand new mod available that looks well worth downloading if you're looking for a totally fresh experience within the confines of Skyrim's unique gameplay.

Enter The Frozen Realm
Skyrim: The Frozen Heart is a story DLC for Skyrim: Special Edition that takes players to a frozen realm after they step through a magical mirror.
The simple fairy tale setup is hiding a genuinely ambitious release, with a ton of features that should interest even the most grizzled veteran.
According to the description, the mod will allow you to, "Explore labyrinths, solve puzzles, battle shadows, and help an ancient Snow Elf warrior cure her curse."
It comes complete with an entirely new world-space outside of the game's regular map, which contains five further locations within it.
There are four new quest in total with dialogue choices, branching paths, and a disposition system, as well as plenty of puzzles and hundreds of new assets, resulting in three to four hours of additional gameplay at absolutely no cost to you.
The Frozen Heart also has an entirely unique weapon and armour set to collect and a new, fully-voiced follower who can be customised with your own textures if you don't like the way they look.
Lastly, there is a new player home for you to lounge around in that counts as a fully exterior location with windows and no loading screens to speak of.
It also shouldn't affect other mods that you have installed, so you can have it there in the background until you're ready to take on everything it has to offer.
With absolutely no news about the potential arrival of The Elder Scrolls VI, we're just going to have to make do in the meantime.
Fortunately the community shows no signs of slowing down, so we should have plenty to enjoy in the meantime.
