It looks like Rockstar may have just leaked the long-awaited GTA remaster we’ve all been waiting for.
Rockstar Games may have been busy working on GTA 6 for the past decade, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t also been working to bring its older titles to modern platforms.
There were the much-controversial GTA 3D trilogy remasters back in 2021, which have since seen many improvements, not to mention the Red Dead Redemption PC port last year.

However, GTA 4 still remains unavailable on some modern platforms. It runs pretty decently on PC and Xbox Series X/S, except for a small framerate bug that locks you out of an ending. On the other hand, PS4 and PS5 users cannot play the game at all.
It's a shame, because GTA 4 is often regarded as one of the best games in the series. It was the series' first debut on Xbox 360 and PS3, and pushed the graphics far beyond what was capable in previous entries.
We first heard rumours about a GTA 4 remaster back in May, where insider Tez2 noted that it had been in development for about a year and could be ready to launch later in 2025.
Now, it seems like Rockstar has done an oopsie and may have leaked the remaster all by itself, as fans noticed the GTA 4 page on Rockstar Games Support had temporarily referenced the PS4 as a supported platform.

The mistake was quickly fixed, however evidence of this can be found here (thanks, PushSquare). Considering nothing has been confirmed by official sources yet, take all of this with a grain of salt.
If true though, this could mean that Rockstar is targeting a GTA 4 remaster for at least the PlayStation 4. Presumably, this would also mean PS5 users get access to it via backwards compatibility.
However, there’s no evidence to suggest that this remaster would hit other platforms like the Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

We’ll have to wait on Rockstar to make any official announcements.
