Finally, Resident Evil Requiem pre-orders have gone live, and new speculation suggests that a legendary character is set to return.
Yesterday, Capcom dropped a ton of new Resident Evil Requiem goodness with an in-depth overview video featuring Maggie Robertson (Lady Dimitrescu), a new Switch 2 Pro Controller, a Grace Ashcroft amiibo and perhaps more importantly, pre-orders are now live.
With so much to talk about, let’s jump into what we can expect from Resident Evil Requiem when it launches next year on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
Fans have been calling for the ability to secure a pre-order for Resident Evil Requiem for months, and now that option is available across all available platforms.
What versions of Resident Evil Requiem can we pre-order?
Currently, there is no Collector’s Edition with a fancy statue available for pre-order. Hopefully, that will change in the coming weeks. However, there are two versions of a Deluxe Edition to claim.

Firstly, the physical Deluxe Edition includes: a copy of the game (obviously), a steelbook case, a lenticular card, five alternate costumes, including a Lady Dimitrescu skin for Grace Ashcroft, four weapon skins, two charms, two screen filters, a custom sound pack and finally, additional game files (which I assume are readable in-game documents).
The Resident Evil Requiem Digital Deluxe Edition includes everything available in the physical version but without the steelbook case, for obvious reasons. The price of the physical Deluxe Edition will likely vary depending on the retailer, but the digital version has a launch RRP of £74.99/$79.99. There will also be a standard edition with all pre-orders coming with an alternate “apocalypse” Grace Ashcroft skin.
Leon Kennedy returns?
For weeks, leaks and fans have been speculating that Leon S. Kennedy will return in Resident Evil Requiem.
Advert
With the game taking place 30 years after the Raccoon City incident that ended with the government dropping a nuke on the city in an attempt to cover up the T-Virus outbreak caused by Umbrella, it’s fitting that Leon might return for one final hurrah.
Following Capcom's official reveal of the pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem, AestheticGamer, aka Dusk Golem, shared a screengrab of a Portuguese Digital Deluxe alternate costume for Leon S. Kennedy.
It’s worth keeping in mind that Capcom hasn't confirmed this, but it does appear to be an accidental character reveal. That being said, we should take all unconfirmed rumours with a pinch of salt until officially proven otherwise.
Resident Evil Requiem will be released on 27 February 2026.
