A massive Resident Evil Requiem DLC leak is making the social media rounds, claiming that it will bridge the gap to RE10.
Last month, Resident Evil Requiem fans were treated to free DLC that brought a roguelite-inspired offering called ‘Leon Must Die Forever’. In typical roguelite fashion, Leon must fight through levels of increasingly difficult enemies, carefully and strategically, selecting which weapons and abilities might be best suited for the task at hand.
However, as announced by Capcom in March 2026, alongside the aforementioned free content update, there was news of at least one story expansion being on the way. Yet, at this time, at least officially, we do not know what story that expansion might tell.
There have been rumours that it will star at least one returning popular character, but fresh rumours have added new context to those rumours, claiming that it will bridge the gap to Resident Evil 10.
According to a prominent leaker of industry information, Marcox, it’s claimed that data miners have unearthed new code in the Resident Evil Requiem servers, suggesting that not only will the upcoming DLC bridge the gap to RE10, paving a way for a new story thread, but it will also have secret endings and will release towards the end of 2026.
Advert
Of course, as with any unconfirmed rumours, we should all take it with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. That being said, it does make perfect sense that any new story DLC might bridge the gap to what’s coming next in a new story for the series, and it makes all the sense in the world that Capcom might release it this year, instead of 2027.
(Resident Evil 10). pic.twitter.com/GZKLV1TrEm

There’s a chance that it could be revealed at Sony’s State of Play tomorrow or during Summer Game Fest this weekend. However, judging by previous Capcom habits, it will most likely be revealed during its in-house showcase event. We’ll keep you posted whenever that reveal drops.
“As a horror game in its own right, Resident Evil Requiem is a very solid nine out of ten, but as a passionate fan of the series, it earns an additional bonus point thanks to the attention to detail and craft that’s gone into every pore of this game,” we said in our review.
Resident Evil Requiem is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
