Red Dead Redemption 2 players are only just discovering one gameplay mechanic, 5 years on

Red Redemption 2 players are always making discoveries even 5 years on

There’s little question that the Red Dead Redemption series from Rockstar Games proves to be as popular today as it ever was back in 2010.

In fact, judging by the recent concurrent recorded numbers with Red Dead Redemption 2, it actually seems that the Rockstar Games Wild West series is more popular than ever. It’s just a shame that Rockstar Games doesn't seem all that interested in releasing a new-gen update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer below!

It doesn't matter what you do in Red Dead Redemption 2, there is always plenty of fun to be had whether it's mopping up the main story and side missions, partaking in a spot of hunting or fishing, being a feared bounty hunter or playing a game of poker. What’s more, regardless of whether something is new to us or not, other players are continually making discoveries for themselves in Rockstar Games' western world.

One such player is Redditor Cerseae, who recently discovered that you can duel with just about anyone in Red Dead Redemption 2. “I've just found out you can duel anyone,” exclaimed the Reddit user.

The chances are that if you’ve been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 being a total prick, you knew this already. That being said, it’s still awesome that this mechanic is being discovered five years on. Technically, the gameplay shared in Reddit isn't a duel, it’s more so a case of the NPC being fed up with Arthur Morgan being a d**k, but it’s still fun nonetheless.

“Just a heads up to anyone who likes brawls. If you greet someone and they respond negatively, you can antagonise (sometimes you’ll even get the 'melee option') and fight, without losing honour,” suggested Senorvantes888. “Even better when I found the trick where you slightly hold down the trigger and time your draw at the same time they point their gun at you it feels like a real duel,” said Trapperdog1.

“To me, this is the best open-world game and maybe the top three best games ever made. I wish they would have spent the resources online but GTA V is their cash cow. I recommend Playing on PC and using mods,” said Tornadokidd1313.
