It’s no secret that Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of little details, one of which a player has only just discovered after 600 hours.

Rockstar Games really put their heart and soul into crafting the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, which players have repeatedly explored on multiple playthroughs since the game came out nearly five years ago. The level of detail the development team put into its beautifully crafted landscape and characters has been one of the game’s most admirable qualities, with many players still discovering new things to see and do.

Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

One player in particular, who’s spent over 600 hours on Red Dead Redemption 2, took to Reddit to share something they’d never seen before despite their long playtime. Reddit user dannygunk shared a screenshot from their playthrough showing a glorious double rainbow they’d spotted off in the distance, a sight which is actually pretty rare, much like it is in real life.

Some other fans of the series were just as surprised to see the spectacle, adding another reason why Rockstar’s western is unmatched in terms of player experience and immersion. “Woah, that's full rainbow all the way. Double rainbow," said one user, while another added, "Wow, that’s rare to come by.”

Another commenter revealed that certain AI found in the game will also react to the rainbow saying, “I think Tilly talks about it if she’s nearby.” It seems the development team really did think of everything when putting the Red Dead world together. This is great news for fans of the Grand Theft Auto series as well, as it’s safe to say if Grand Theft Auto VI has the same level of detail, or better, fans will certainly be in for a treat.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is still a must-play title years after its release with plenty to see and do, as well as a dedicated fan base set on keeping the game alive through their own in-game discoveries, mods, and Red Dead-inspired creations like recreating the cover art in LEGO form.
