You know what, I really love the modding community. They come up with some of the most bonkers, out of pocket stuff that so many of us simply wouldn’t think of.

Like putting Thomas the Tank Engine in damn near every game, or like this example, putting the monsters from Silent Hill 2 into Red Dead Redemption 2.

Yeah, you read that right, the iconic monsters from the Silent Hill 2 remake can be loaded into the cowboy adventure from Rockstar Games thanks to this mod.

Even James, the protagonist from the game, is seen in the screenshots standing at the saloon bar as a creepy nurse staggers up to him.

I’ve not tried this mod, I’m not sure if I’m even the target audience for it, but it’s the level of ludicrous that I love to see from community creators.

Why does it exist? Because it can be done, I suppose.

It’s a bit odd to see Pyramid Head roaming the dirt streets of the wild west, a nurse to one side and a four-legged beast to the other.

Jeez, I’ve only just clocked that Pyramid Head has a rifle slung over one shoulder, which just makes this even more silly, and I kind of love it.

Looking through the posts on the mod page, it seems to be a hit with fans, but they all want these beasties to be wildly roaming the land so they can be hunted like the wildlife in the original game.

It could make for an even better crossover if each creature had a bounty that could be earned for killing them, giving this some actual mechanics beyond Pyramid Head just being there.

Perhaps this is the bone of a bigger beast to come, perhaps not, either way it made me chuckle this morning.
