Red Dead Redemption 2 player uncovers hidden feature, 5 years after game released

Red Dead Redemption 2 players have discovered yet another secret feature, more than enough justification to play the game all over again.

Red Dead Redemption 2 players have discovered yet another secret feature, which is more than enough justification to play the game all over again.

Rockstar Games really gave its all when crafting the masterpiece that is Red Dead Redemption 2. Compared to other open world games, it’s in a league of its own, with gorgeous scenery that looks even better up close.

Have a look at some of these hilarious wins and fails in Red Dead Redemption 2 below.

Now we all know that the game is enormous, so you’re unlikely to see everything it has to offer on your first, second, or even third playthrough. Hell, some players are in the double digits when it comes to different playthroughs and they’re still finding new stuff.

One such player is Worldly-Donut-5956 who discovered a secret feature while raiding a camp by one of the game’s rivers. The video shared shows the player robbing a man, before walking over to a fishing line with some recent catches on it. Turns out you can cut the fish down and add them to your inventory for later consumption, which is something I’d imagine a lot of players weren’t aware of.

Fans were ready to “replay the whole thing again” just from seeing something new in a five year old game, whereas others shared other secret mechanics that players might not be aware of.

According to one player, “If there is an enemy inside the tent, you can throw a knife or tomahawk through the tent … It will fly through both sides and hit them while leaving two holes through the cloth.”

Another top tip shared was if there’s a camper by a river, the location will be a “prime fishing spot,” and a great place to catch salmon and pike fish.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is still uncontested for one of the greatest games ever made, and hopefully GTA VI manages to exceed it in more ways than one, otherwise we might be disappointed.
