I think the one major thing fans want from Red Dead Redemption 2 is more of it. Despite the game’s map being on the large side and with plenty to do, there could always be more and luckily, one creator has made that possible.

Despite it being five years on from release, Red Dead Redemption 2 still has a loyal fan base that takes advantage of the game’s highly detailed story as well as its online component, Red Dead Online. With the Rockstar title still revealing its secrets to this day, it feels as though players will never be fully finished with the Red Dead Redemption sequel.

Now thanks to some creators, the game really is endless with one modder creating the North-East Map Expansion. The mod will add a brand-new area to your map which will become home to new camps, a bridge, NPCs and animals. Alongside information about the mod’s installation, the creator has included images of what we can expect.

The images show two villagers hanging around their tent area as well as some camped by the river and up in the mountains. The small bridge in question connects the two areas together with NPCs manning it and there’s even one NPC holed up in a man made shelter. It’s unclear what new animals you will find in this area but with a whole new area to explore, it will be exciting to find out.

This will be the perfect mod to install alongside one that allows you to play 48 brand-new missions or even one that adds terrifying monsters to Red Dead Redemption 2. With some fans saying a Red Dead Redemption 3 would be unnecessary, perhaps mods are the way to go by adding to an already incredible game.

Regardless, with Rockstar hard to work on Grand Theft Auto 6, it may be a while before we see anything else from the Red Dead Redemption series.
