With the average playtime for Red Dead Redemption 2 being around 50 hours for the main story and 188 hours for the completionists out there, you would think that the majority of us would have discovered all the Rockstar title had to offer.

However, that is seemingly not the case as one player has stumbled across a hidden gameplay feature in Red Dead Redemption 2 that a lot of us have missed all these years.

Check out the trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 below!

Released in 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 found itself shooting to the top of player’s favourite Rockstar titles thanks to its gripping narrative, expansive open-world and multi-dimensional characters.

Now almost seven years on and with no signs of Red Dead Redemption 3, it seems as though players are returning to the American Frontier to spend more time with the beloved Arthur Morgan.

So it is no surprise that secrets, features and Easter eggs are still being discovered to this day, including this one that involves a horse and a boat.

According to Reddit user rrennzzo, Arthur can take his chosen stead on a boat with him.

It would make sense that a horse could stand on a boat but this feature is one that many fans have never tried for some reason.

Not only that but it will make things a lot more realistic than having to re-summon your horse when you cross large bodies of water.

In amongst comments ranging from total disbelief that this was a feature and one user shocked to learn that you could even use boats at all, many players weren’t feeling very trustworthy.

“Knowing my goofy horse AI I would recommend a manual save before this,” user HackedPS4 wrote.

Royal_Sir_1993 added, “I've been wondering about this and now I know, THANK YOU.”

So there you have it, it has been confirmed that you can take your horse on a boat in Red Dead Redemption 2.

… I would probably save first though.
