The fact that we’re still discovering so much about Red Dead Redemption 2 almost four years after release is a testament to just how good of a game it is. In the past few months alone, fans have unearthed a heartbreaking secret in the epilogue plus a disturbing fact about Arthur Morgan’s hair. Now though, a removed cutscene suggests that a ton of extra content was actually cut from RDR2 prior to release.
Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.
As reported by PCGamesN, the removed cutscene would’ve taken place during the ‘A Fisher of Fish’ mission. The scene showed Arthur meeting up with Jeremy Gill who tasked Arthur with catching a fish in Rio Bravo. This suggests that originally, Arthur would’ve been able to travel to Blackwater and New Austin without being pursued by lawmen.

This is drastically different to the final cut of RDR2. If players attempt to visit Blackwater, they’re almost immediately taken out by bounty hunters. Clearly, Rockstar doesn't want you to explore this area, but this new scene proves that Blackwater was once accessible.
The discovery was made by YouTuber Kush Qrox who posted the removed cutscene online. It is fairly buggy, but you can hear the dialogue. What other secrets are you hiding, RDR2?
