It’s that time again, another set of cards in coming to the Pokémon TCG and, of course, it means we’ll be elbowing scalpers aside to try and get our hands on the new cards.

Destined Rivals is the latest expansion to the popular Pokémon trading card game, and it’s already selling out worldwide as fans try to chase down the best cards in the set.

Based around Team Rocket, these cards are highly sought after, featuring some of the classic characters and monsters from the anime and games.

If you were hoping to snag some of the these cards and find yourself up against scalpers, then you might be interested in this limited-time gift.

A giveaway is being hosted on the Pokémon Centre website in tandem with the Destined Rivals launch, and with any purchase over $15.

The purchase has to specifically come from the Team Rocket section, which has a selection of card mats, sleeves, and deck boxes for sale.

Once you’ve fulfilled this remit, you’ll get a free Tyranitar card featuring the Team Rocket logo.

This card promotional offer runs until 30 June, so hopefully, they will have plenty of stock available.

It’s hard to know if this card will be popular with collectors and sell out fast, so if you want one, you need to act quickly.

The Team Rocket cards are proving popular, and already, cards from the Destined Rivals set are starting to sell for up to $400 on the secondhand markets, most notably the Mewtwo featured.

If you’re after more Pokémon this year, the next TCG set, Black Bolt and White Flare, an exclusive set with no individual booster packs, will be available on 18 July.

Plus, those wanting to play more games will be able to enjoy Pokémon Legends: Z-A on 16 October 2025.
