33 Immortals blends everything players love about Hades with co-op gameplay for fast-paced, epic battles, and right now, you can try it for free. Here's how!

ARPG hype is running rampant in the Steam store with plenty of epic boss battles and character builds to keep you busy.

However, if you are looking for something a bit lighter than Nioh 3, a colorful co-op ARPG could be your calling card. It's by one of the most beloved indie studios of all time.

33 Immortals is developed by Thunder Lotus - the studio behind the brilliant and emotionally devastating game Spiritfarer

Best of all, it's got a PvE and co-op mode that pits 33 players against monster bosses. Players will have to work together to raid and battle, fighting for survival as they tackle challenging boss fights.

The art style and gameplay of 33 Immortals are very similar to Hades. The game offers a colorful, brightly saturated artstyle and sharp 2D character designs that are a distinct departure from grittier ARPG titles.

Check out the trailer below and I think you'll see what I mean!

33 Immortals Has A Free Beta Available Now

As shared on the Steam store page for 33 Immortals, a free demo will be live to play from February 16 through February 23, 2026.

This is exciting news for those who have followed the game’s Early Access on Xbox.

Thunder Lotus released 33 Immortals in early access for Xbox and PC via Epic Games in March of 2025.

However, early access costs $19.99 unless players have the Premium Xbox Game Pass membership active.

Worry not! This limited free demo is the perfect time to jump in and test what Thunder Lotus has been up to with their most recent project. It is also a great way to know if the large-scale co-op style of gameplay is something worth spending fully release price on once the game launches in the summer of 2026.

At this time, it isn’t known if demo progress or unlocks will carry over to the full release. It seems unlikely that this will be the case, as limited demos are typically removed from Steam once they have been completed.

Despite this, Thunder Lotus is known for delivering highly polished, thoughtful games, and 33 Immortals looks like the perfect blend between ARPG antics and co-op collaboration.
