YouTuber ZHC parted with $70,000 to buy the world's largest PlayStation 5, and it comes with an equally chunky DualSense. On top of this, the console is actually fully functional, and the content creator and his team spent 100 hours customising the plates.
Specifically, the machine weighs 220 kilograms, so it's roughly the weight of the heart of a blue whale. This is freaking me out slightly because how on earth could a living thing have a heart that's this huge? It's the ocean, dude. There's all kinds of mysteries in there and I think we'd be better off leaving them to their business. What's more is that the console looms over ZHC - it's three metres or 10 feet high (depending on your sensibilities). This means it's as tall as Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village. I know, I know. You're over it - those comparisons have been done to death... which is why we propose that Danny DeVito should be used as a unit of measurement from this point onwards. It's 2021. We're all still stuck inside. It's an arithmetic revolution.
Anyway, it's very impressive to see that the PlayStation 5 really works in spite of its size. The DualSense does look ridiculous, it has to be said, with ZHC using his entire hand to push each stick and friends who were responsible for pressing each button. I'm not sure it'll catch on, but it would be a rad installation in the Science Museum or somewhere like that. ZHC, who is famous for his giveaways and charitable donations, already had an idea for where the world's largest PlayStation 5 should end up. He set two teams of artists a challenge: customise one side of the console, and whichever team wins walks away with a bundle of (regular-sized) PlayStation 5s.

"Obviously they only need one each," said ZHC. "So the rest of these will be going to children in need." He also said that if his team lost, he would give away the ginormous machine for free. After one hundred hours, the PlayStation 5 was unrecognisable. One side had a marine theme, and the other was an outer space scene. The panel of judges preferred the latter, and so ZHC got to keep his larger-than-life console.
Xbox wasn't one to miss out on memes of its new console, either. Late last year, the company unveiled fridges in the shape of the Xbox Series X, after suffering the jibes and jokes that the blocky machine looked like it'd be right at home in a super-villain's kitchen.
