After the success of the Prime Video Fallout show, it is no wonder that hordes of fans are flocking to the long-running video game series for a taste of the original source material.

With the majority of players choosing to go with the most recent entries, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, others are choosing to stick with what can be considered the best: Fallout: New Vegas.

Check out the Fallout: New Vegas trailer below!

However, with Fallout: New Vegas first releasing way back in 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it is quite a bit outdated and anyone wanting to play it on the PlayStation 5 is in for a tough time.

With the PS5 unable to run PS3 games natively, the only option is to stream Fallout: New Vegas online. However, with thousands of new players desperate to dive into the Bethesda title, queues are forming and servers are rapidly becoming overwhelmed.

This report comes courtesy of a post on r/fnv which shows one user stuck in a waiting queue to play the title. The screenshot included shows the user in the seventh spot in the queue with an estimated two to three minute wait time. However, they also claim that the queue was longer before their game crashed.

As you can imagine, when presented with a queue of any length, fans were unhappy with some criticising Sony’s streaming services and calling for Fallout: New Vegas to receive a PlayStation 5 port.

However, with Xbox or PC not having this issue, it is worth checking out the titles on these platforms instead. Not only is the PS3 port notoriously bad for Fallout games but Xbox users are able to download 360 titles via the Game Pass and not have to deal with streaming services or queue times.

Additionally, if you choose to check out any Fallout title on PC, you will be able to access a huge library of mods. However, with Nexus Mods recently reporting crashes thanks to the show’s hype, you may just be met with another queue.
