After the success of Prime Video’s Fallout show, the Bethesda series is getting a much-deserved revival with show fans rushing to download the hit games.

Earlier this month saw the long-awaited release of Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout show. Inspired by the long-running Bethesda RPG series, it tells the story of our favourite vault dwellers set against the backdrop of a post-nuclear war-torn America.

Unless you have been living under a rock, you already know how successful the show is and it took less than two weeks for it to be renewed for a second season.

Not only that, it is bringing both old and new players back to the games. So much so that NexusMods is struggling with the sudden popularity and has released a statement to the modding community.

Being the home to over 48,000 Fallout 4 mods and with over 1.4 billion downloads, it is safe to say that NexusMods is the home of mods. However, thanks to Fallout 4 sales rising by 7500% following the show’s premiere, fans are flocking to the site.

“We are experiencing much more traffic than usual due to the popularity of the Fallout TV series,” Nexus Mods community manager ‘Pickysaurus’ writes.

“We have deployed extra resources where possible and we are monitoring the uptime and performance across the network. We have staff on call at all times to deal with any problems. Please do be aware that this extra traffic could cause a degraded experience across the website and our applications.”

As a result of the increased traffic, NexusMods experienced partial outages over the weekend and saw performance issues across the API, forum and content delivery network.

However, with the team aware of this issue, it won’t be long before you can grab some much-needed mods for your Fallout 4 experience.
