We figured that we, along with countless others, would have been planning to find ourselves unable to work for various, suspect reasons on the PS5's launch day, so we've saved ourselves the embarrassment of having to come up with excuses and are insisting on a company-wide holiday, on the proviso that employees must spend it playing the PlayStation 5. We will not budge on this. Dave from Accounts tried to start work this morning and "just do a few bits". Dave will be having a disciplinary meeting with HR to discuss what he's done.
