It’s that time again. Earlier this month, PlayStation Plus unveiled October’s Essential tier line-up which includes Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and Superhot. All in all, it’s not a bad result and fans are particularly impressed with Hot Wheels Unleashed. If you haven’t yet nabbed those titles, they’re all available to download now.
With the Essential reveal out of the way though, it’s now time to focus on the Extra and Premium tiers and across the two, 23 games are landing on PlayStation Plus this month.
Speaking of PlayStation, check out the latest trailer for God Of War Ragnarök below.
Extra and Premium subscribers will soon be able to get their hands on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition on PS5 and PS4, The Medium on PS5, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age on PS4, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on PS4, Dragon Quest Builders 1 and 2 on PS4, Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below on PS4, Dragon Quest Heroes II: Explorer’s Edition on PS4, Inside on PS4, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker on PS4, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, Russia and India on PS4, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered on PS4, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate on PS4, and Hohokum on PS4.

The Premium classics catalogue will also include Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 Remastered on PS4, Limbo on PS3, Ultimate Street Fighter IV on PS3, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on PS3, and Everyday Shooter on PS3.
That is what I call a quality line-up, but it’s also a lot of games to choose from so allow me to be your guide (with the expertise of some of my GAMINGbible cohorts). The excellent Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition follows the tale of the Luminary, your custom-named protagonist with a bad haircut, on a quest to save the world. There's a reason why this titan of a JRPG is so beloved amongst fans - its charming characters and genuinely touching story (not to mention banging soundtrack) make this an unmissable adventure - be sure to give it a go.
You also cannot miss Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. While you are offered a choice of heroes, we recommend you opt for Kassandra as Melissanthi Mahut is absolutely impeccable. You'll sink many, many, many hours into exploring the sprawling Greek archipelago that teeters on the brink of Peloponnesian War, yet Odyssey maintains a balance between mythological conflict and light-heartedness throughout. Not unlike a real odyssey, then.
Given the recent news of Grand Theft Auto VI’s setting, I don’t think I need to explain why Vice City would also be a good shout. Plenty to keep subscribers busy, that’s for sure.
