PlayStation Plus free games for October officially announced

The new free games for PlayStation Plus' spooky month are here, and they're not as creepy as you may have been hoping for.

Nonetheless, PlayStation Plus users have several new free titles to check out.

After concerns that October's lineup was off to a grim start, we're pleased to see our faith restored.

Joining Sony's monthly subscription service is Dead Space, WWE 2K24, Doki Doki Literature club, and Dino Crisis.

Most of these games you'll likely have already played, and thus they maybe not be the heavy hitters you were hoping for.

Still, Dino Crisis is an iconic banger of a game for a reason - action and dinos, what's not to love!

Then we have easily one of the greatest sci-fi horror video games out there: Dead Space.

Even before we got a remaster of the original title, this unnerving body horror romp in space had us hooked from start to finish.

We look forward to screaming our heads off while we play. Oh yeah, and keeping Isaac safe... that too.

If that doesn't take your fancy, there's always the creepy tale of Doki Doki Literature Club, a game that truly isn't what it seems.

Most of you may know the twists of the narrative by now, but if you don't, boy oh boy, are you in for a real treat.

Lastly, there's WWE 2K24.

Anyone who wants to test their skills in the ring has the chance to do so while also paying homage to the beloved wrestlers they frequent tune in to watch.

It may not be an adventure, but it's exciting nonetheless.

These games will soon drop on PlayStation Plus; however, if they're not to your taste, fear not because more free games will eventually be announced
