The latest sale on the PlayStation Store offers some major savings on the best of the best titles out there, so we suggest you start shopping.

Remember, remember, the expenses of December. Though a lot of us didn't travel as much as we would have done in any other year, buying Christmas presents and all of the ingredients for a proper Christmas dinner (trimmings too) burns a hole in your pocket like a secret Christingle. Then comes January. A month that is meant to signal the start of a new year, but seemingly drags and drags and drags... until it's February and great Scott, where's the time gone? A serious saving on the game you've had your eye on for a while might be just the ticket for a lot of you, and I've got good news. This PlayStation sale that's live right now specifically covers games that went down a treat with critics and players alike, slashing their original prices to ribbons.

Let's kick things off with a bang. The digital deluxe edition of God of War is £16, which is frankly daylight robbery. As well as a digital comic book, it comes with a dynamic theme, a digital art book, the Death's Vow armour set, and the Exile's Guardian Shield. I'd passed over God of War for the longest time, foolishly believing that it wasn't worth the hype. I've seen the light now, and its combat is some of the most satisfying button-mashing ever achieved in the medium. And, it's just got an update for the PlayStation 5, and the beauty of Midgard is bewitching.

A saving of almost 60% is to be snagged on Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition, which bundles Grand Theft Auto V with Online and offers the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack. This digital parcel of content is worth over GTA$10,000,000 if purchased individually, and encompasses properties, businesses, weapons, vehicles and more. No need to worry about being behind the curve. Rockstar Games is continually impressed with the commercial performance of Grand Theft Auto Online, and it's definitely their focus for now. If players log in to Online before February 12th, they'll unlock the Rockstar Cap and the Rockstar Rolling Tee for free, and there's lots more to look forward to in "exciting future updates."

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt /
CDPR

If we've said it once, we've said it one thousand times: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a magnificent, magnificent game. In our list of our top 100 games, it scored the silver medal, its compelling story and incredibly immersive world captured our hearts and minds. So, when we saw that it's only £7 in this sale, we had to shout it from the rooftops. Though, I must draw your attention to Loading Bar. They thought up a The Witcher 3 cocktail intended to mimic the Toussaint Red, and it's "the perfect drink to sip alongside a game of Gwent." Get yourself to Sainsbury's, pick up the constituent ingredients and a pack of tealights, and hey presto. That's an ideal night in with The Witcher 3.

Steals like the Arkane Collection is available for £25, DOOM Eternal Digital Deluxe edition is on for £26, the Batman: Arkham Collection for only £16, and Borderlands 3 with its Season Pass plus a PlayStation 5 upgrade for £20 all in all, are also out there for the taking. There really is something for everyone, no matter what your favourite genre is. The sale ends on February 17th, so there's still time to "um" and "ah." You'd kick yourself if you missed the opportunity, though, so jot it down or set a reminder now!
