When it comes to next-gen changes, we all end up staring at the consoles themselves. *Ahem* Don't you think Xbox Series X looks like a fridge and the PlayStation 5 looks like a router? We all know the jokes, and we've all had a good chuckle together. What hasn't been a laughing matter, however, is the PlayStation 5's beautiful DualSense controllers - the part of the consoles we'll actually be interacting with the most.

Now, we've already tried Astro's Playground out with the DualSense controller and, well, if you want to hear our impressions of what it feels like to have "surround sound for your hands", you can check out that piece here. But additionally, there is apparently one feature of the controller we hadn't noticed yet - that it's probably customisable.

Tech wiz John Glasscock (spotted by GameRant) realised that the black front plate of the DualSense controller snapped off incredibly easily if you want it to. You don't even need tools to do it, so already it's easy to swap than the orientation of the PlayStation 5. The black part of the controller comes off with ease so you could probably customise your black one as you like, or buy a new plate to replace it. Neat.

This indicates that PlayStation probably has some customisation options already planned for the controller, so you can jazz it up however you like. However, recently one company faced legal trouble for creating customisation plates for the console itself - Sony shut them down as although its patent on the plates was pending, it is its right to distribute official plates when the time comes. It's a shame we can't try out some cool chrome plates now.

Other fun facts about the next PlayStation DualSense include an incredible Easter Egg you don't want to miss and the incredible trigger feedback options.

The PlayStation 5 is landing in the US on November 12th while the UK and Europe will get their hands on the next-gen console on November 19th... Or is it?
