It has been almost four years since the PlayStation 5 was first launched and almost four since it was easier to get your hands on the philosopher’s stone than the latest Sony console. However, with most gamers now owning one, it is worth checking out what the unit really has to offer.

With the only thought on gamer’s minds being to plug it in and insert the latest game, browsing the true settings of the PlayStation 5 wasn’t a demanding need. However, with the console hitting its fourth year, it is interesting to look back to see if there’s any useful feature we missed.

Check out our review of the PlayStation 5 below!

According to Youtuber Mystic, there are quite a few that have previously gone unnoticed including the ability to pin web browsers over your game in order to easily access online guides, Youtube videos and more. Mystic recommends plugging a keyboard into your PS5 in order to browse the web more effectively, but once you have your site of choice, you get the option to ‘pin to side’.

As well as the browser trick, the video also covers other useful features such as the ability to access “search” when on the PS5 homepage by hitting triangle. This gives players a quicker way to access their profile, trophies, friend activity and more.

One feature that could also come in handy is the ability to mute all sound from the PlayStation 5. This can be activated by holding the mute button for a few seconds. A pulsating glow on the unit means that all audio is muted whereas just clicking the mute button once will solely mute your mic and give off a solid glow.

Tips for mouse and keyboard play, system restoration, pairing DualSense controllers and more can be found in this helpful video for all PlayStation 5 owners.
