Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a truly wonderful game that once again proves Insomniac Games is the perfect developer for Spider-Man. While it's not the full-length sequel we're all waiting for, this latest adventure is a perfect stop-gap, and one that brings fascinating layers to Miles and his cast of supporting characters.
I don't know if you've played it on PS4 like me or if you're waiting until your PS5 gets here to dive into the next-gen version, but believe me when I say it feels just as great to play as its predecessor. Miles is obviously a much less certain Spider-Man than Peter Parker, and that's reflected in the way he moves. He might fumble to grab a web-line or briefly lose balance when leaping onto a ledge, but that's okay - the point is that he will get better as he learns to be himself and do Spidey his way.
That message, "be yourself", is very much at the core of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Without giving anything major away, Miles has to come to terms with the fact that he isn't Spider-Man in the same way Peter is. He's his own Spidey, and that's what makes him special. It's a beautiful thing to see him learn that lesson over the course of the game... although that does make this glitch where he turns into a literal dumpster feel all the more unfortunate.

As you can see from the video below, SonOfEd13 appears to have collided with a dumpster while swinging around New York City. I'm not entirely sure what happened next on a technical level, but that collision appears to have turned them from Miles Morales into an actual web-swinging pile of garbage. Weirdly, this isn't the first reported incident of its kind in the last few days. Over on Twitter, Rob Sheridan revealed that he'd collided with a wall and came away as a web-swinging brick. I couldn't tell you why or how this is happening, but I'm loving it. Spider-Man: Miles Morales is good enough a game that we can be forgiving of the occasional glitch, especially when they aren't massively game-breaking and are, in fact, really quite funny.
