New Xbox hardware has just been revealed, and let’s just say, it’s not the prettiest piece of kit we’ve ever seen.
It feels, now more than ever, that giant tech companies such as Microsoft and Sony love nothing more than to release limited-edition accessories and hardware inspired by the latest big releases.
In recent months, we’ve seen a plethora of gorgeous hardware, such as a stunning DualSense controller for the upcoming 007 First Light, and last year, we were treated to a beautiful Xbox Elite controller, inspired by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
However, the latest Xbox hardware will not follow in the beautiful footsteps of the 007 Fight Light or The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt controllers, because, to be brutally honest, it’s ugly!
The hardware in question is for the upcoming Forza Horizon 6, a game that the GAMINGbible team is very much looking forward to, unlike this limited edition Xbox controller and headset.

I think when a fan buys a limited edition controller or headset, at the very least, they’d probably expect it to be an instantly recognisable acknowledgement of the collaborated game. That is not the case with the Forza Horizon 6 controller and headset.
“Forza Horizon 6 limited edition Xbox controller and headset have just leaked,” revealed Redditor Morichh.
Since this post, the hardware has been officially confirmed on social media, and emails have been sent to gamers. Both the controller and headset are up for pre-order on the Xbox website.

Forza Horizon 6 will take place in the stunning locations of Japan, and Mount Fuji will be a landmark attraction of its open-world map. With the game being located in the Land of the Rising Sun, I would have thought that a blatant Japanese influence would have been a key trait of the controller and headset.
“For all the available inspiration they could pull from the Japan setting, they went with these colours?” replied The_Poster_Nutbag. "Big swing and a miss for me.”
“Nah, man, I'm good,” laughed DANGER2406.
“Well.... that's disappointing,” said Efronczak.
“Yeah, that's revolting,” exclaimed No-Pick-8943.
“That's pretty underwhelming,” replied a dejected its_the_honk.
However, at least some like the new Forza Horizon 6 hardware, with fuzzmeister declaring, “I like it!”
Thankfully, at least, what’s really important is how good Forza Horizon 6 is likely to be. If past instalments are anything to go by, especially since 2018’s Forza Horizon 4, the latest release should be a banger.
The Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller costs £84.99/$89.99, while the Xbox Wireless Headset costs £124.99/$134.99. Both accessories will launch alongside the game.
Forza Horizon 6 and its Xbox accessories will be released on 19 May 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It will also launch day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
I still can’t get my head around the fact that major Xbox first-party titles are launching on PlayStation 5, which includes Halo: Campaign Evolved later in the year.
