Xbox drops free download for huge open-world banger, no Game Pass needed

Venture to a new galaxy

Star Wars Day is almost upon us, and plenty of gaming companies are looking at the worldwide celebration of the long-running franchise with excitement.

It’s the perfect time to jump into older Star Wars titles, or try something newer, to include yourself in the 4 May event.

Star Wars Outlaws is a great way to celebrate 4 May.

We’ve already touched on Epic Games giving away a Star Wars game for free, though we don’t know which one it will be just yet.

And Nintendo is jumping in on the action, too, giving away trial demos for two classic Star Wars titles.

Now it seems that Xbox won’t be outdone, and is giving players the chance to jump into the galaxy far, far away, with a game trial of Star Wars Outlaws.

The huge open world adventure from Ubisoft has come a long way since launch, turning an already very good game into a great one, with updates to stealth gameplay and immersion.

This is the perfect chance to play as Kay Vess, a rogue who is just trying to make a better life for herself and ends up between several cartels out for blood.

Being able to explore interesting planets, jet about on a speeder, and gamble with Lando Calrissian, makes any Star Wars dream come true.

When we reviewed Star Wars Outlaws, we said, “Star Wars Outlaws is a great Star Wars game, and as stated before, it was refreshing to play something that puts you in the shoes of a normal individual rather than an all-powerful force user.”

If you want to be immersed in this galaxy, but are fed up with always having to play as a Jedi, this is a nice change of pace that will test your skills in many ways.

It might not be a perfect game, but this demo will give you a taste and keep you celebrating the franchise we all love.
