Xbox drops 3 free games you can download for next 48 hours

Play free Xbox games

You can play three fantastic Xbox games this weekend at no extra cost, but you need to act fast, because they won’t be free forever.

In this day and age, with the cost of everything getting more expensive, including Xbox consoles and its games, it’s always a good idea to look out for fun experiences that won’t cost us a small fortune.

A great way to save money while being able to partake in our favourite hobby of playing video games is subscription services such as PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass.

Even for a cost of just one month’s subscription is far less than a single AAA new release. What’s more, depending on how much free time you have, you could quite easily blast through a few games during that one month alone.

However, if you’re on the lookout for some freebie gaming goodness on Xbox, then this weekend’s ‘Free Play Days’ has you covered. From now until Sunday, 8 June 2025, you can play three Xbox games at no cost whatsoever.

Well, there is one small catch: you need to be subscribed to any of the three tiers of Xbox Game Pass, namely, Core, Standard or Ultimate.

Throughout this weekend, you’ll have full access to the brawler Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as well as the challenging military multiplayer shooter, Hell Let Loose.

The third game is a trial for A Little to the Left, rather than full access. But that probably has more to do with the game taking about three to 11 hours to complete, depending on your playstyle, according to HowLongToBeat.com.

  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: “is the ultimate Dragon Ball gaming experience, packed with thrilling action, epic battles, and endless customisation options. Create your own character, explore Conton City and team up with iconic characters from the series as a teacher to train and be ready to battle against formidable enemies to rescue the flow of History.”
  • Hell Let Loose: “Join the chaos of war and be a part of the most iconic battles of the Eastern and Western Fronts, including Carentan, Omaha Beach, Stalingrad, Kursk and more. Hell Let Loose drops you into the action, where you will have to fight across fields, bridges, forests, towns and more war-torn environments.”
  • A Little to the Left: “Is a cosy puzzle game that has you sort, stack, and organise household items into pleasing arrangements while you keep an eye out for a mischievous cat with an inclination for chaos. Check out this playful and intuitive puzzler with 100+ satisfying messes to tidy.”

Hopefully, at least one of the above games tickles your fancy.
