The weekend is almost upon us, and if you’re located in the UK, France, or Spain, that means the heatwave is almost over.
It also means that the latest edition of Free Play Days is underway on Xbox, and it might actually soon be a reasonable enough temperature to even consider turning on a console.
This edition of Free Play Days includes three games which are yours to enjoy from now until the end of the day on Sunday, 28 June.
Oftentimes, Free Play Days are split between games that all Xbox users can enjoy and some that are exclusive to Game Pass subscribers.

This time around, you will need a Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential membership to enjoy House Flipper 2, Blades of Fire, and Assetto Corsa Competizione.
As is always the case, there is no limitation placed on how far you can proceed in each of the three games during the course of the weekend.
Let’s begin with Blades of Fire, which we awarded a score of eight upon release.

Developed by Mercury Steam and launched in 2025, this third-person action RPG is perfect for soulslike fans.

It follows Aran de Lira, whose sacred hammer allows him to uniquely craft steel weapons in a realm where the evil Queen Nerea has turned all other steel to stone.
Aran will traverse the kingdom with the goal of ultimately putting a stop to Nerea.
It’s a challenging game with all of the usual soulslike elements; dying, for example, will send you back to the nearest forge.
There’s also weapon degradation, and dying will see you drop your last used weapon in the location of the enemy that took you down.
Blades of Fire underperformed at launch, but it didn’t land on Steam until earlier this year.
It’s also since launched its 2.0 update, adding New Game Plus, Titanium level difficulty, new Arcana spells to enhance weapons, elemental transmutation during forging, and new anvil challenges.
You can secure the full game for $29.99 instead of $39.99 if you want to keep playing past Sunday. Pricing will vary by region.
If soulslikes aren’t for you, you might want to try Asetto Corsa Competizione, a racer from Kunos Simulazioni that arrived in 2019.
As this is getting “old” by modern standards, the full version will set you back just $9.99 instead of $39.99 for a limited time.
Featuring a rich selection of highly detailed cars and circuits, Asetto Corsa Competizione offers a realistic simulation experience.
There are Sprint, Endurance, and Spa 24 Hours races with varying weather conditions, constantly forcing you to change up your approach.

Finally, House Flipper 2 rounds out this Free Play Days line-up.
There’s no discount on this one, with the full version costing $39.99, which is surprising considering that House Flipper 2 arrived three years ago.
Playable alone or with up to four players via online co-op, House Flipper 2 is a renovation simulator where, as you’ve probably guessed, you’ll buy up, fix, and sell homes.

From humble cottages to grand mansions, you’ll need to restore walls, plant up gardens, decorate, paint, and more.
In the game’s sandbox mode, you can make houses from scratch, while story mode will see you renovate set projects.
It’s a great low-stakes title if you just want to relax and unwind.
So if you’re looking for a cool activity this weekend that requires very little movement, perhaps picking up one of these three free titles could be just the thing.
